 e of the trumpet. Yamen Martini is a Syrian-Belgian trumpet player and com
 poser whose work brings together jazz\, Arabic maqam\, Balkan influences a
 nd experimental music. His practice is deeply informed by improvisation an
 d by a musical journey across the SWANA region and Europe\, exploring ques
 tions of identity\, movement and belonging. Over the years\, Yamen has per
 formed both solo and through projects including Ashtabiez\, 3’Ain and Co
 martinuts. His work has also crossed into theatre\, dance and film\, with 
 collaborations and performances connected to BOZAR\, Opera Ballet Vlaander
 en\, Théâtre de Liège and Festival d’Avignon\, among others. At Ruq
 ’ah\, the concert will take place in an intimate setting\, bringing the 
 audience close to the music and allowing space for improvisation\, resonan
