Jurian & Elric Reinartz, Raga at Ruq’ah

Ruq’ah welcomes Jurian Reinartz and Elric Reinartz for an intimate evening of Indian classical music, built around raga, improvisation and deep listening.

Jurian will perform a raga rendition on sarod or esraj, accompanied by Elric on pakhawaj, the traditional barrel-shaped percussion instrument associated particularly with dhrupad music. Elric may also present a solo piece, and a third musician on tanpura may join the performance.

The concert will be fully acoustic and conceived for a small audience, creating a close encounter between musicians, instruments and listeners. The set will last approximately 30 to 60 minutes, with space for improvisation and for the music to unfold naturally.

Jurian and Elric are Brussels-based musicians who have collaborated across a wide range of musical projects, from psychedelic and experimental music to live composition and performance. Together they are also known for projects including Triquetra, while their broader work moves between electronic, acoustic and cross-cultural musical forms.

Come early, sit close, and listen.
