MUSLIMGAUZE — SOUND, IMAGE AND THE AFTERLIFE OF AN ARCHIVE

Sunday, 13 September 2026

Cloud Seven, Brussels

During RendezVous — Brussels Art Week

Ruq’ah and Cloud Seven are pleased to present the opening of Muslimgauze: Sound, Image and the Afterlife of an Archive, a multidisciplinary exhibition exploring the work and legacy of Bryn Jones / Muslimgauze through sound, image, political memory, and archival material.

The exhibition is curated by Mohammad Zaza, bringing together visual material, publications, and archival fragments to reconsider how Muslimgauze constructed a political and sonic imagination around Palestine and the wider Arab and Islamic worlds.

For the opening, Otis Verhoeve will present a special DJ set, extending the archive into a live listening experience.

The event takes place during RendezVous — Brussels Art Week, the annual city-wide program bringing together galleries, institutions, foundations, and artist-run initiatives across Brussels. Cloud Seven is part of the 2026 participating venues.
