Saouta brings together oud, tablas, soprano saxophone, and double bass, creating a musical world shaped by Arabic, Indian, Celtic, and jazz influences. Their music is built around movement, encounter, improvisation, and the feeling of travel itself.

The quartet features Damien Brassart on soprano saxophone, Akram Ben Romdhane on oud, Jim Monneau on double bass, and Bernard Flament on tablas. Their album Ode to Travel was released by homerecords.be in 2022.

Join us for an intimate concert at Ruq’ah, an evening moving between different musical traditions, improvisation, and contemporary acoustic sound.
